Hi folks...having a terrible time trying to install trailer wiring to my FJR. Does anyone know WHERE the connector is located which goes to the left, right, brake and running lights?
How much body work need s to be removed. Any possibility of a plug-and-play plug-in connector?
many thanks...jerrry

First, we need to know what model year you have. It ALWAYS make a difference.

Second, the connector for rear lighting you seek is behind the left side panel, the small one below the seat. The 2007 owners manual gives a nice view. It's called Panel E. Downloadable here
Third, a plug-n-play adapter is available. I have one on my '07 and one on my '13. They sent the wrong pinout for the '13, be careful with that, but it was easy enough to figure out.

Bear in mind that the Admore lighting adapter has a pretty low limit on how much current can be drawn through it. Not sure if the 2007 model's adapter is similar to the one I installed on my 2016 (all LED lighting) but that version has a 300mA limit on it. I used it to trigger relays that handle the current of the additional lighting.

rbentnil pretty much hit, when you said 5 pin I'm assuming that your trailer has a light setup that matches the separate brake and blinker. There are adaptors what can combine them also.
