Good Morning Don, As you develop your Alaska ride plans, please keep me in the loop. I was very glad to see that Barry is interested, I would really enjoy riding with good friend Barabus again; we had a blast going up to Park City with Fairlaner! My club, AZ Beemers, is picking me for a BC/Alberta/Hyder ride because they know I worked in Alaska as a pipefitter for a number of seasons in the eighties and that I rode my motorcycle up and back each time. But it would be a kick to continue North from Hyder with you, Barry and other FJR Forum members. If Patti and her Dad are driving a support wagon it makes it all that much better. It's a hell of a long way! Sometimes I'd delay my departures too long and hit muddy roads. We now have four participants signed up for this trip; they, including myself, are GS mounted - but this ride is absolutely perfect for your V-Strom. Nicest part is we are trailering the dual sports across Texas, then riding into Mexico.
