West Entrance to the Grand Canyon

[NorCal FJR]

I am on my 10 day trip and I am looking at going to the West entrance of the Grand Canyon where the sky walk is.

I just found out the last 9 miles are unpaved. Has anyone done this and if so, is it doable two up?. I am going

to have my wife with me. Any help would be appreciated.

Rode there a few years ago on my dual sport, don't think I would like to take my FJR on that road ( I did see a young guy on one back there) With the monsoons we been have'n lately road will be in bad shape. ( we just had a bad one tonite) They are supposed to pave it don't think they have yet. You could get on 1 of the busses in vegas that goes there. (not sure where though). And bring lots of money they are proud of that skywalk!

Rich, Mark is right: I wouldn't ride to the Skywalk two up on an FJR. We Stanley Boys spent Sunday night in Laughlin, lots of monsoon storm activity starting up along the Colorado River! JSNS!
