DO NOT DRINK AND RIDE!

I also know that some people like to have a beverage when they are out and about - hopefully not until the riding day is over. For those people who want to sample some local beer, wine, or spirits here are a few establishments you may wish to check out. Not all of them are open all the time but if they sound interesting you could contact them and perhaps make arrangements to pay them a visit, buy some products, have lunch, or take a tour. OR, you'll know local products when you see them in a liquor store (in Alberta ALL Beer is sold in Liquor Stores. There are specialty wine and spirit stores as well).

DO NOT DRINK AND RIDE!

NOTE - Canadian Beer ranges from 4% to over 7% Alcohol. You've been warned!

Wow, time is just flying. WeSTOC 24 will be here before we know it.

Our contract for the reduced WeSTOC hotel rates has the date of May 8 after which we lose the reserved block of rooms that are unreserved.

So, if you are considering attending WeSTOC where numerous top rides await, including the world famous Icefields Parkway running between Lake Louise and Jasper, you've got three weeks before the deadline.

Don't miss out on what will be a WeSTOC to remember.

At themoment we also have one rider who is looking for a roommate. Check the Room Share Page.

But, don't leave your room at a great rate too late. Register for WeSTOC 24 now and book your room!

Route to and from WeSTOC is dialed in. About 4,200 miles there and back not counting a few days of riding out of West Calgary. Can't wait to hot the road!

It was GREAT! Weather was a bit wet in Calgary. It was also colder than average during the week long ride leading up to WeSTOC. We rode through WA, OR, ID, MT, WY and back into MT before heading into Calgary. Kind of a greatest hits tour for a couple of my friends who had never been into WY and the Little Big Horns. The day before we were to ride Beartooth they got 2' of snow and closed it.

The ride up 14A to Burgess Junction was into a blizzard. 32F at 9,400 feet. The wind screens and visors were covered in snow but fortunately nothing ever stuck to the road. The next day we had light snow on Ten Sleep and while doing and up and back up Shell Canyon. We also rode Chief Joseph Scenic Byway 3 times. New pavement last year and it was like a frickin race track! I burned through my brand new T31 GT in 3,800 miles over the first 9 days. Had to detour from Colville down to Spokane during the ride home to get a new PR4 rear installed. New all time low on tire life, but also a new all time high on the fun scale!!

About the greenest I've ever seen Chief Joseph Scenic Byway!
