39, sunny, and teasing. One moped blew through a red light doing a whopping 28mph.  I just have to wait a few more weeks for the sand and salt to get washed from some rain.  Frost heaves will suck, as usual.

I'm OK with the sand - extreme caution in corners.  Salt, however, is unforgiving in what it does to aluminum bits and electrical.  I'll be on the road after a good salt-rinsing rain as long as temperatures are above freezing and no chance of icy patches.  Target is usually St. Patrick's Day but weather frequently does not cooperate.

10FD4B59-E9D2-4D76-B0A2-7C03C4F85EFB.jpegFreezing rain followed by light snow from last night until now. Thick ice covering the vehicles, too hard to shovel. Road conditions pretty crappy...
However a second wave of snow is expected to dump 6-8 inches late tonight through sunrise tomorrow. Cold in the mid teens.
Luckily have food and alcohol to see us through this at home.

How about 35 degrees and clear now with a high of nearly 60 today?
Welcome to Central California where we’ve had no rain whatsoever in over a month……

-12F when I got up this morning. Pretty average winter day. I laugh at the whole groundhog thing every year. at least 6 more weeks of winter is a given in MN

Agree.
Six more weeks of winter is a GOOD thing.
We are forecast to get up to 50 cm (20") of snow and blowing snow between tonight and Saturday AM.
Goes with the foot of snow we got last weekend.
Last couple of winters were fairly benign. Snowblower gave up at the end of last winter after 29 seasons. Decided not to replace it. None available at this point but will be looking before next season! Picture below is after 4.5 hours with a shovel. The bank at the end of the driveway is close to 6' high.

Been kind of looking for this thread for a while. Weather's still happening, right? Just wanted to mention our sunny California weather. Raining. Still.

We've been hearing from people we know all over the freaking world, asking if we're ok. Yes, we are, but a lot of folks nearby are not. Bad flooding, record rain, thousands of big trees down, kind of a bitch. But amazingly, the tv forecasters have told us over and over, sure, it's raining and flooding, but we're still in a drought! o_O

Today it's 63 and cloudy south of ATL. The forecast calls for rain much of the week, so that's why I rode the beast back to work after lunch and I get to ride it home after work.....all of about 8 minutes worth. It's days like this that I wish I lived farther away from work.

This winter in the Sierra's mother nature said "hold my beer"! We are even surpassing the record year of 82-83 in Northern Ca. Over 57 FEET of snow in the Lake Tahoe region.

If I see another snowflake I'm going postal!

Nothing compared to what you have been seeing but we are in the middle of a major snow squall. Looks like it may finish in the next hour or two with a few inches of new snow on top of what we already have. Still a couple of feet on the front lawn when it is often gone by the end of March. I'm ready for winter to be over!

-9c/15.8f..there’s still almost 2 feet of snow in the front yard..and 3” of ice on the road. It’s gonna be another 3-4 weeks minimum before I attempt a ride..
