The last day of my last real ride for awhile. Gotta take care of some bodily corrective maintenance...

The ride through Yosemite, in November, was awesome! Very few cages and RV's clogging the roads.

Very brisk November air was crystal clear, sharp, breathtaking.

Thanks for teasing the rest of us Mr. Carver.  Coincidentally, this past weekend I was sketching a behemoth route:

  • down from Edmonton to Bryce Canyon (UT)
  • then west over top of Vegas into Death Valley,
  • back north through Lee Vining, west through Yosemite
  • west passing right under Sacramento to Winters
  • curving northwestward to Fort Bragg via Willits
  • up to CA36, then back east to Platina Road - then northeast into Redding
  • <insert so much more here...>
I spend my winters mapping, so your last ride report came at a perfect moment.  Now I have a Vimeo flick to share with my local buddies as a sales tactic to help get them onboard for ~5000 mile ride loop perhaps next June.

All the best.

Those were some fantastic pics in the video. You actually came down south into my stomping grounds. From Joshua Tree to Julian and south to the border is my usual area of riding. If I'd known you were coming, it would have been fun to ride with you a little.
