I Purchased a 2024 Yamaha FJR ES 1300 from Libby's in New Haven CT, 2 weeks ago and I was looking at the part # for the Oil Filter: 5GH-13440-90-00 (NA) ? The 2023 FJR 1300 shows this part# 5GH-13440-80-00, which is available. Can I use the 5GH-13440-80-00 (2023 Model) Thanks!

Howdy,
Why on earth are you using a motorcycle filter when you can use a superior oil filter for auto motive use? I have used Amsoil filter that has a 15,000 life, and a Mobile One filter that has a 20,000-life using a full synthetic oil. These filters can be found when looking for a 2022 and 2013 Subarus that uses these filters.

Thomas and others not yet named,
Bob asked a simple question that only required a simple answer.
Do not perpetuate another oil filter thread!!! :) :devilish:
Do not re-open a can of worms!!!
If Bob wants to explore other filters, there are only 300 oil / oil filter threads to satisfy his curiosity.

It is my understanding the OEM Yamaha oil filters have changed part numbers several times however the current OEM filter available is OK for any later generation FJR. Am I correct??
Partially true and talked about many times before including here that I found using search.

My bike also originated from Libby's. Now I ride like the wind through the Western Mass hill towns. You should join me sometime. (I work in Bloomfield) Unfortunately, I am having left hand surgery tomorrow, and will be down for a while. I mentioned to the doctor "That's my clutch hand you know". He just smirked and said you'll be good to go in no time. 🤞 You will love that new bike, ask anyone here.

Good Luck with your Surgery Pete! I'm approaching the 1000 mile mark on mine (Broken in), looking forward to feeling the POWER, LOL! Keep in touch, for a ride!

Thank you, all went well. I'll be back in the saddle in no time. I'll reach out Bro Bob. I like to ride down to Narragansett RI for "Clam Fritters". Easy ride, good roads, sea food = a good time! We can meet along the way. I was hoping to swing by and grab Beach Pop on the way next time too. He's in Lincon, RI.

Oh come on, we could not only have a *new* oil filter thread but we could add in some tire/tyre questions too!
