That is a bright blue to be for a 2006.Parts search shows it is for a 2005. Great price though good luck!

Parts from yamaha distributor list that specific "deep purplish blue metallic" color for the 2006 model. Look for color code DPBMU / 996.... Also have bar end, foot peg holder and an undertail lock from the same bike if anyone is interested, trying to clear up some space!

Thats a Gen 1 fender. Pre 2006.

The '06 doesn't have the concave section on the aft side like that one has.

Putting this item on Ebay, it is also frustrating that this forum format only allows for one edit on original posting.... I never found a way to edit this threat title nor would it allow me to edit anything in it at all after the first attempt. *sigh*
