Two years ago today I had a bit of a bambi encounter https://www.fjrforum.com/forum//index.php?showtopic=148381

Today I start my epic and first journey to the eastern states and EOM. I feel very blessed to be able to continue to ride and since then I have met even more wonderful people through this forum because of our love for riding. Now I get the opportunity to meet some of our eastern friends at EOM. Life is good!

Tag along if you will, I will be riding the hippo most every day other than Sunday the 21st where I will be taking a day off with family in Kentucky. Here's spot https://spotwalla.com/embed.php?id=b38c540bcdae039db&width=600&height=600&scale=on&zoom=default&refresh=no

Happy trails!!!!!

Dougie Bear

I remember that thread with the Bambi encounter. I remember that pic of you standing in the road looking like you were amazed to still be alive.

I hope the Hondapotamous still keeps you happy.

Doug is using the great circle routing option. At that rate, he should be there by Christmas. Hope you've got your heated gear! ;)

Here is a corrected link for Doug's trip. https://spotwalla.co...d954162c19596e3

FWIW, he is slabbing across 50 and I-70 so far. Pretty good progress, but missing a lot of good stuff on the interstates.

Doug, Remember once you leave Colorado and until you get to Missouri, the scenery sucks. Take your time in paradise. If your plans are to ride into PA and pick up the Skyline Drive or other routes through WV south to NC, just PM for a place to stay east of Pittsburgh. I'll travel to the EOM with you, and we are empty nesters in a 5 bedroom house. It's not a bad stop if it works for you.
