Help Needed for Electrics...

I need some hep brethren....my heart condition precludes me from bending over easily, or at all sometimes.

I need to disassemble the old boy for a connector clean and to possibly get ready to sell. my condition has worsened and i won't be able to stay here... and to get a heart, i must stop riding...also for the first time i dropped him..and could not get him up on my own....thats it....that was my line and its been crossed...

i won't quit forever however...but even if i live through all this upcoming crap and make it to a heart transplant, my days on 700 pounders is done....Zig is a kick ass machine and i've been very good to him and him to me...this fucking kills me but so is my heart...i will return to texas as i have connections in houston where they have an ok little heart clinic...

i have some disentangling to do...yoko is staying...its her home and i've tried but they will pull my drivers license if i continue my..ahem..non-compliance..

and for the record, I've had over 10 heart attacks and i don't shoot my friends...dick cheney is a pussy...

so, help me fix up your bike...the disabled plates stay with me though...trust me , I've earned 'em....

i at least will be here until spring break, but need to go soon after that...LVAD awaits...you don't wanna know...

Also, never give up your dreams folks...wasnt willing to get a heart until recently because someone in my past reached out to me and wouldn't give up....i won't...still up for a few more rides..just don't let me lead...

I can't help with the work on your bike but I am sorry to hear that you have reached the stage where you can no longer ride your FJR. It is a prudent decision to give it up now. On the other hand, your desire to get help and survive is a good thing. That LVAD looks like an interesting device. I didn't know there was such a thing. There are plenty of fun motorcycles out there that weigh a lot less than the FJR. I am looking forward to hearing about your new heart and recovery.

Sorry, I'm a bit far to help, but can you clarify what's needed by "connector clean"? Are you wanting to remove some farkles or are there a known problems with some of the connectors or spiders?

You can bring your bike by my place and we can clean out the connectors. I live about 15 minutes north of Auburn on the 167, so not too far from you. If you want things really clean, and can wait a while, I can setup my spray booth for you and you can shoot your body panels.

That would be perfect and i'm not in too much of a rush...just the usual green connectors everywhere with all kinds of interesting side effects..like lighting....i need help getting the nosecone off...you had yours done so fast, i missed it !!! I feel good selling zig up here...y'all are the coolest group and i would love the thought of him still riding free in the mountains...i may need to return to texas as a good thorn in their dumb asses, but zig is at home here....

A connector clean is raising the tank, removing body panels and cleaning every damn connector you can get to...i ride year round and use car washes...so there is some corrosion happening, fortunately gen 1's seem to run on anyway....lights, windshield, or no....he's never stranded me... but you get some weird happenings....hit the windshield button..horn goes off...hit blinker..lights go dim...fascinating....but not at 80 in seattle traffic...hahaha !!!

Tried to get together with Audiowize but it wasn't in the cards.....no gps and i have to stop and check phone constantly...wore me out and this has been a theme here for me...lost without a clue and no turn signals....i don't have a car and seattle is dangerous to explore in the winter on an fjr....but as this is my only asset, i will keep ziggy until i get back to texas..then trade down to something more practical for me....i'll be riding a new nurse though and she's a heart specialist too....so it aint all bad...I plan to be south bound in 10 days....its been fun and real but not real fun...i have some good memories and am so glad to have made the PNW Fall Gig...these FJR peeps are truly the best !!!

Really sorry to read the bad news in this thread, Bobby. You may have a defective ticker, but there's nothing wrong with your attitude. Hang in there, brother. Wishing you the best of luck and sending you much mojo from NorCal.

..OK OK OK.....want this shit to get weirder ?!..in my original post i mentioned needing help with electrical connections....so i finally get to see my new team of dr's here in taco ma wa , ostensibly to get checked out for a return trip to the land of scorpions, thirst and salsa....and i explain my symptoms and testing of all kinds begins....and we get to my Borg parts, BVICD, and this is electronically interrogated... and lo and behold MY CONNECTIONS have gone awry inside my heart....oh shit....the room grows very quiet..except for the juicyfarting noises emanating from my ass....and more dr's come in and gawk at these machines...and me...and my noises....and they proceed to perform a "minor procedure" right there, right then....my V3 lead has come out of my heart muscle and they reseated it....in situ, right there....the only suckage was they had to test it....36 joules...oh baby...tightened that sphincter right up......unphucking believable still is this happened in the truck on the move here and i've been running on 3 cylinders all along....my heart function has IMPROVED SIGNIFICANTLY....ejection fraction up 60% to 18..which sucks for humans, but works on a monkey such as myself....

...i feel like FUCK!!!!...FUCK OF THE MOOOUNTAIN !!!!...got some new prescripts and some meds changed and YOKO and i are mending fences as well....looks like you green wet sweethearts gonna be stuck with me here anyway.....I'd like to ride in this place on a DRY DAY !!! and it looks like i get to do that !!!!!...i told the dr i needed more air and he told me..open the shield and go faster !!! no shit !!!!

The moral of the story is...NEVER EVER GIVE UP....you infuriating bunch of bleeding hearts.....like mine !!!
