Liquid Nitrogen? WTF?!?

Looking at Tobie's great photos from the IBR, and kept looking at pic from his other albums.

This one caught my attention (cropped, low-res pic, I don't want to step on Tobie's rights):

What's up with the "Liquid Nitrogen" mounted on the side of a Tanji tank?

positive pressure aux tank?
emergency tire air source?
whippit?
secret NOx?
smoke screen?

Someone here knows the answer, but who?

BTW, the tubes on both bikes make good waterproof 'stuff' containers.

I'd say yes, and I'd be really worried about the filler neck in a tip-over, let alone a full fledged Oh Shit event.
