Can 2nd Gen fork legs replace 1st Gen legs?

I have 2nd Gen forks with AK-20 internals and would like to swap them with 1st Gen forks.

Can this happen?

Do not know.. My guess is Dutch wants longer service intervals as gen1 forks keep oil clean longer than gen2..

Dutch, go to any parts website, look up part number for each gen.. that will tell you.

The 2nd Gen forks are from a totaled bike - just looking for a place to use them.
