- I wear an 8gb SUB thumb drive around my neck. A simple notepad file (.text) with contact info, med history, etc. Word doc with descriptors and pix of reg, license, other legal docs. The only time the electronic necklace comes off is when showering. More rider info than FJR info..
- Cell phone in easily accessible pocket (most of the time outer pants pocket) just in case I Old Michael off a freaking cliff and can't walk to help. Used to carry it inside of jacket, but decided that spot was too inaccessible should broken ribs or abdominal injuries occur.
- Seriously thinking of SPOT tracking thingie.
- What for cRzY8? typical stuff already covered.

Take your memory device and look for something to run it on? At best, this will happen at the ER. The devices that integrate the written info with a chip are kind of the best of both worlds. Affluent areas may have laptops, but have you ever looked for a computer in the back of an ambulance on the roads we tend to ride motorcycles on?
If you have a risk of being unresponsive (face it, that's all of us on bikes), if you want people to know you're diabetic, epilectic, have a heart history, need a med, whatever, have your info where responders are going to look - with your driver's license. And have it ready for them to use immediately. If you ride where a local may take your wallet & cellphone before the ambulance arrives (this isn't just the heart of the city), consider carrying a second card and conspicuously marking the location like the photo of the Aerostitch pocket that "Go Far" posted earlier in this thread.
Here's a repeat of the free card generator posted earlier in this thread. http://www.medids.com/free-id.php It'll prompt you for everything needed and let you print your own card out. Laminate it at the local Staple's or Walmart and put it behind your driver's license, because the D/L is universally what responders will look for right away.

I have ICE Contacts in my mobile phone, the card in the wallet. I think the USB is great...but 8GB? How extensive is your medical history??

Edit:
I took a table saw and cut the binding off my Service Manual and used my scanner at work to turn it into a PDF. My work scanner will auto-feed and dual side scan. When on long trips the PDF is on my laptop and USB drive.
After I cut the binding off the book I went to Office Max and had them put holes in the book and it is now in a 3-ring binder.

As far as emergency med info...I do have a medic alert card in my wallet, but sometimes shit happens. So to cover the most important medical stuff, I did this (on my left forearm):

One of those folding wine openers, and a wet suit type beer can cozy for emergencies out in nowhere where there is no ice. (The cozy can be slammed over a sucking chest wound or to stop bleeding, and to keep my beer cold. I use the corkscrew for defense against bears, or lions if I'm on the Paris to Dakar rally.)

These are really some great ideas I will also incorporate soon.

While sitting around pondering how to solve the world’s problems (as they relate to us) me and my paramedic buddies have often mused about your idea. Our consensus was that if you want your medical info known it should be tattooed on your chest (or left forearm). As a medic I love it!

If you do go over the side into the brush, you're going to exhaust yourself quickly calling for help.
A nice flat emergency/camping type whistle in an accessible pocket takes care of that.
Now if I could figure a pocket to put the SPOT in instead of leaving it on the bike.
FWIW, HIH, YMMV, yada yada yada...
Ride often, ride well...
