I am new to the rally thing and wanted to do some in 2012. All that I have found have already closed their registration deadline. How do I find some that I can ride in? Such a noob question!

Have you noticed the FJR rides and gatherings section on this forum?

Since the question was posted in the LD section, I think the OP was looking for LD rallies, not just the SFO, WFO, EOM, and other gathering type rallies. But that is just my take on it.
I'm Finding Something To Find.

This year promises 30+ hours of nothing but twisty mountain roads. Should be a blast!

There used to be a few nice images here but I tried to add one and now the board bitches that they are too large when they in fact aren't :/
I see dumb people.

+1 on the MD2020. My first rally was this one two years ago. Very novice friendly and all the experienced riders are willing to share tips and help out the noobs.
Registration is limited to 75 riders this year, and already at least 45 have signed up.
