I prefer to use bar end mirrors on my motorcycles, so to that end I am planning on purchasing a set, but I don't want to leave an ugly bare spot with holes on the fairing where the stock mirrors are currently. Does anyone know of a vendor that sells mirror block off plates to fit the FJR? I have searched high and low and haven't found anything so far, but thought I would ask. Thanks!

Install a set of aux light brackets using black anodized bolts. And, then install the aux lights. There are several brands of driving light brackets similar to these:
To the best of my knowledge nobody makes a blank off plates (yet). It shouldn't be too hard to figure something out.

Thanks for the suggestion, I hadn't really thought of other possible uses for that location. BTW, what kit bracket is the one you have pictured?
