Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Oh boy, oh boy! One week from today our Pyrenees 2008 FJR Group will be in the lobby of Hotel Sun Central in Barcelona drinking coffee and the Ad-Mo Rental Agency van will show up.

With Stef, Caba, orestes and the rest of the Italian FJR Forum riding escort - Bob and I are off to Dalts to pick up our bikes.

Then a glorious week of riding the Pyrenees with our FJR Friends! Are we there yet? Are we? Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy, oh!!!

coffee? YGBSM blink.gif
Well, whatever... wink.gif
We're fine-tuning our rides, checking on the final details, loading up ammo (i.e.: flash cards for the camera) and will be ready to board that ship to Spain.
Caba's on his merry way SW from Vienna and I hope he doesn't get too wet on the way here. Weather currently sucks, but it may carry on and rain itself dry in the next few days. Spain's where we need dry roads...
Orestes will RV with us in Barcelona and this international show will finally be on the road: 3 Americans, 1 lonely Brit and 3 Italians.

Thanks Admins for this "sticky" topic. clapping.gif It's been great to top the bill for so long. After talking about it for 7 months, now it's time to lay some rubber

Ha, ha! Okay, I'll bite on the coffee bait. Stef, what is your beverage of choice in the AM? Bob and I are AM coffee hounds!

http://weather.msn.c...cations=wc:1576 Stef, just called Bob, told him to make sure to pack rain gear.

Looks like rain in Spain is going to fall mostly on the Pyrenees next week. That's Fine With Us: We Phoenicians are looking forward to some cool riding weather. Phoenix has already hit 111 degrees this Monday: Valley of the Damn Blast Furnace!

At the moment I'm not even sure if I'll be able to leave the UK. French fishermen are blockading the channel ports protesting against rising fuel costs and the channel tunnel could close at any time.

I'm going to be optimistic and say that 10 day forecasts mean very little and it will be bright and dry every day. Now where's my rain gear.

I hear you loud and clear on the ten-day forecasts, Dave. Last year when we left for our AZB Alps ride: MSN, Yahoo and AOL weather forecasts were telling us that Europe was rainy and snowing. When we got there we were so hot/dry that we almost shipped our cold weather gear home to have less to carry on the bikes. But then it did rain the last 2 out of 9 days.

The 2 bottles of home-made Slovak "pÓlinka" made it safely to Milan. Oh, and Caba too... rolleyes.gif
He rode through a couple of rain squalls but covered his 1,000 K without a hitch. The welcoming committee then proceeded to revive him with chilled Weissbier...
He's playing tourist in Milan as we speak and I'm just about to leave the office and start my vacation.

To all participants in the Pyrenees Tour, see you soon folks. To everyone else, see you in 2009 wink.gif
