weather.com is favorable for the weekend....I'll be bringing the Frogg Toggs anyway!

I've been making my way down from CFO (via the U.P.) and I'm in position. The lovely Motel 6 of Kingston, TN is hosting me for the evening while I drink a couple of brewskies and do laundry. In the morning I'll head for Hendersonville via The Tail of the Dragon :yahoo:

Just a cautionary note regarding the weather in EOM-land; yes the forecast for the weekend is great, but the last three days have been horrible. Heavy, heavy rains in the area mean lots of roads will have places where sand and gravel has washed into and across the road. Most of these 'surprises' will not have cleared off the road by this weekend, especially on the lesser-traveled twisty roads. Be alert and keep a keen eye on the the road surface. Have fun and see you this weekend!

Good general warning...this is not a swept race track. Enjoy the ride...but beware.

See everybody Thursday night.

Same story I got earlier from my family in Asheville.

"Enjoy the view, watch the road"

yes, the roads here (Robbinsville, NC) were a mess this afternoon when I ventured out as well. NC-28 was damp and covered with leaves in spots. I ran across Deals Gap and it was the same. tip-toe-tip-toe. Clear weather on the way, so that's a plus.

Ride Safe everyone and I'll see you in Hendersonville.

Same farther north too in VA, WV. In addition there was a rock the size of half a concrete block on 16 between Tazwell and Marion today

Majicmaker and I left West Palm Beach early yesterday morning. We caught steady rain from Daytona to Jacksonville. It cleared up after that and it was smooth sailing all the way into Savannah, Georgia. After a good nights rest we are heading out this morning for Hendersonville. We will see everyone soon.

Thanks, this is a timely heads up. The EOM technical routes all include quite a few roads less traveled because they're challenging and avoid boring highways. Unfortunately, their storm water runoff tends to be poorly implemented if at all. Be especially watchful for spots with adjoining gravel driveways and roads.

At the Waffle House eating the breakfast of champions Savannah GA. The weather Gods are being wonderful to us. We'll be in Hendersonvile by check I'm time! Stay thirsty my friends! Life is good!!
