After ten years and only 56,000 miles, a cage retired my trusty 2005 FJR
Tuesday, April 4, 8:55 am, SLOWED from 65 to 10 in a very short distance before impact with SUV which blocked my path ... sprained wrist, bruised ribs:
Wow -- glad you weren't hurt worse than you were...that's a scary pic.

Congrats on the new bike...as a '16 owner myself, that blue's a beauty.

Some quick evaluation of the 16 vs '05. .... I did 140 miles in So Cal on Saturday with my Wife, freeway, twisties, and a drive up the coast in the evening. ... Funny, this bike somehow feels lighter than my 05, even though i know it isn't. ... ES suspension is awesome, for the fwy, I set it for two up, max soft -3, felt much more comfy than 05 (penske rear and optimized forks), when we hit the twisties (ortega hwy), I set it for max hard +3 (Still 2 up), she said she couldn't tell any difference, I knew immediatly, awesome, butt dyno said it was just as good as '05. ... ... ... Next, Sunday morning, did another 120 miles (by myself) to the rockstore and back, suspension at one up, max soft for the freeway (mmmmm), then max hard +3 when I hit Las Flores, to Rambla Pacifica, to Piuma, to Cold Canyon, to Muholland, I was again GREATLY impressed - this ES suspension is awsome! What's up with these brakes? They are awesome, is this just the difference between gen1 and gen2 brakes? And 6th gear? .... I am SOOO happy that they added this, I can not believe we got along for so long without it. ...... So in short, ES suspension (so far) gets 9/10, brakes - 8.5/10 (havent really pushed it hard enough yet), 6th gear - 10/10. ..... Now it's back into the MC lane for 25 more miles of lane splitting. ... Should have it up to 600 miles before the weekend. ....

Did that happen on the 405 freeway? I lived in Laguna Niguel for 10 years and made frequent trips to the Port of Long Beach. The drivers on the 405 were so damn crazy I often opted for the PCH. Scenery was much better and the drivers more civil.

Nice to know you were not badly injured!!! Enjoy the new ride!!

The new ones are pretty nice. Don`t forget to play around with the suspension! Enjoy

Oh yea, glad you are ok.
