Another SW-FOG I missed. I hope you all are well and having a great time. I am here working at my desk making money. Maybe next year.
Next year we won't take any excuses from Cometman, he hasn't been to the SW-FOG since 2009 in Page Arizona. He is starting to sound like Bust-a-Nut Joker.

Patch showed up and took off on Don's new Beemer. The Hotel took great care of Duke by offering him his own room, Mark was assigned to the bench out front. We are still wondering where our shirts are, we are curious to see if AJ has learned to spell Taos (Toas) yet. Having our SW-FOG BBQ tonight, looking forward to some good times. Pinhead is supposed to show up with HRZ, figures those two would be buddies now that Pinhead is a New Mexico resident, trouble usually always find trouble.

The trouble with trouble is that it usually starts out as fun !

Have fun you guys.

Don't do anything I wouldn't do ;)

Pinhead the shirts and I are at the lodge safe and sound! Somehow we skirted all the rain and had a great ride. Now we're sitting here looking at Don and Dan fondle each other. I can feel the bad dreams coming on.

The mind reels at the thought of what's really going on down there... :dribble:

Can't wait to see the pics... wish I coulda made it!

Mighty fine moon shining tonight, I suspect there is some fun times going on in Toas but don't let Scooter do a valve adjust on the nearest FJR in the parking lot.

Looking forward to some pictures soon....?

Caught a pack of 5 south of Trinidad yesterday, and hung out over Raton Pass before splitting off at Raton.
Oh, that was you! I never did figure out who it was. I was last in the pack, saw you coming up and hanging out until we pulled off...

I spent a fricking hour looking for my Miss Lucy Liu!

Had a really great time meeting everyone, and figuring out just how much more I need to learn about riding an FJR(you guys are absolutely CRAZY through the curves). Already looking forward to the next one!! Thanks again for a great meet and AWESOME rides!!!

Tragically, all the big babies were in bed around 8pm. Big D, Pinhead, two couples, the guy whose name I suddenly can't remember and me were the only ones up after 10. My gawd...If this is what retirement is like, I'm gonna jump off a bridge the day after I hit my 20.

Discovered AJ can't play pool worth a shit and Pinhead is a pool shark. The three of us were up way late, closing the bar while everyone else was sound asleep by 8pm right after dinner.

Adam should have been here, as should Skooter too. They are both pussies.

Its raining like hell right now outside, hope it stops by morning.

Eric's new superTEN bike is cool, as is Don's new bright red Beemer.

As always Toas treated us real well. Glad as many turned out even with the weather being unpredictable, although most of us rode between the rain drops. I want to thank everyone that braved the elements to get here. We did make it to Los Alamos to tour the museum. Duke, as usual got the girl, or should I say girls. Move over Dolly, there a new stud in town.

Shaun (COSFJR) and I made it home, and boy was I happy to get back on Colorado roads, where our DOT actually knows how to lay down and maintain pavement! I still think NMDOT has a grudge against motorcyclists, and they express it by the shitty road quality across most of the state ;)

FJR Forum Folks are the Very Best! Another Successful and Super Fun SW-FOG indeed! Tons of laughter, lots of miles ridden together, delicious meals shared, heard plenty of new jokes and just enjoyed being with Great FJR Friends. See you in Colorado in 2012!

This morning at breakfast I thought Cec was going to have to

give Old Michael the Hiney Lick. Lucky for Old Michael everything

worked out well.

Had a great time and dodged all the rain drops. Los Alamos

Museum was really interesting.

Thanks all for a good time and to Dan & Don for setting it up and the rides.

Joe (Tucson Joe)

Got back home save and sound. Had a great time, made the entire trip without getting wet...

Thanks Big-D and Beemerdons for organizing the event... :yahoo:

Don & I, along with Tucson Joe and Cec headed out this morning around 8am headed back to Arizona. As we were heading down I-25 at a very rapid rate of speed, we came upon several other attendees headed in the same direction, but unfortunately made dust of them on those wet & rainy roads. As we turned West on I-40, Joe & Cec disappeared in the early morning traffic. Don & I cracked up the throttle and seemed to get air as we peaked 9 Mile Hill, then in a flash we were gone and New Mexico was quickly behind us, as Arizona could be seen in the near distance. From the minute we left Taos, the rain was fairly constant, but not so bad that it slowed us down any. We stopped for our first fill-up in Grants, NM to not only fill up our gas tanks but to add our jacket liners because it was cold as hell. Once we reached Don's turn off Holbrook, we both decided to top off our tanks. I quickly filled mine, then the power went off at the gas station so Don had to make due with what he had in his tank because the pumps quick just as I finished filling mine. So as Don turned south towards Payson, Phoenix and home in Chandler, I jumped back on I-40 west bound. Within minutes it was pouring once again all the way into Flagstaff and beyond, with my car tire throwing a Rooster Tail 30 feet into the air as I moved along at 90mph, luckily AJ's cousins in blue were all busy with other unfortunate folks as I cruised on by. About 80 miles from home the skies cleared and as expected the temp didn't wait to start climbing the ladder. Entering Kingman the temperature was at 101 degrees, then dropping into the Valley of Death it immediately jumped to 106 and stayed there until reaching my turnoff bound for Lake Havasu where nowhere but Death Valley can conquer the hottest little city in America, the temp climbed to a mild 108 and stayed there until I reached my living-room with my A/C doing its job of keeping me alive and comfortable. I pulled into my driveway at 4pm, 673 miles and 8 hours after leaving the Kachina Lodge in beautiful Taos, NM.

Just like last year, Taos was lots of fun. We did some beautiful riding in a southern direction this year which proved to be really cool because it included a tour of the Los Alamos Atomic Museum. Got to see some friends from last year and made some new friends this year. Thanks to Cheryl and her crew at the Kachina Lodge for the hospitality, thanks to AJ and Cynthia for taking care of the shirts this year. My shirts were great and of high quality. Thanks to AJ again for bringing us all the opportunity to gain several additional pounds by offering mucho candy bars. Most of us missed the rain during our daily rides, except for a sprinkle or two. The real rain started the night before we left, but even that made for an interesting trip. Oh, Thanks to Petey for the riding lesson.

Dan
