Ah....that's exactly what I thought I did, just didn't state it very well. The first person saying he'd take it didn't post, and then I waited for a reply with a confirmation, but he did come through and it is a done deal now so it's no longer for sale. Sorry Gina and bwv!
Hi Gina,
PM received, you are second in line. First one doesn't seem sure, I should be able to let you know soon.
Hi bwv,
PM received, you are third in line.
SOLD - First I see two distinct seperate posts, I clean one out, and now the other one doesn't show! So here is my original sales pitch edited back in:
I have a Morgan Carbtune I bought before I sold my FJR (so I bought it maybe 1-1/2 years ago?), and never used it. My new bike is a two-banger...
Bryan,
My "maybe" just turned to a "no", not this time due to other obligations.
I had intended to bring a brand new and unused Morgan Carbtune for sale. I have a two-banger now, so no use for a 4 channel tool anymore. Listed it in the classifieds for $60 including shipping.
Thanks and still...
Thanks Hudson, great report! I am absolutely sold on the grin factor of my V2 Tuono. I know the V4 cranks it up another notch, but I just fell in love with my Rotax V-Twin... so I am sold on Aprilia. and hey, if it keeps me from going bald as well, so much the better -
Hi Bryan,
Please put me on as a "maybe". Last couple of times I said I'll be there for sure I din't actually make it, so I don't want to jinx it again...
That is indeed weird. This thing sticks perfectly in my aftermarket outlet, and it hasn't come lose once in probably 3000 miles of twisties on a very hard riding bike... Must be a slight difference in diameter and length between the standard FJR onboard outlet and my aftermarket one!
They took my old one back as well after it stopped cranking on cold. I had bought a 14AMP as well last year (before they switched officially to 18AMP only for FJR), and they were nice enough to upgrade to a brand-new 18MAP battery for free. I am surprised to see that you still bought a 14AMP...
I can at least answer that one since I was born and raised outside of Munich: München in Italian is "Monaco di Bavarese", literally the Monaco of Bavaria. :)
I wish I could be in Europe on a bike myself right now!
So happy I stumbled across a new R&R by you, Nik!
As always excellent photos and caption, it's like I'm there myself. Sure wish I was... :)
Have fun and ride safe, will be checking back often.
Sorry, after seeing the sign between Yale lake and swift reservoir that windy ridge was closed we took the turn down to Carson instead. Just met Fjray at the gas station in Wind River, he told me you where all meeting about 5 miles short of the parking lot.... Well, hope to see you next season...
OK, my Aprilia is back up and running strong after some needed maintenance (electrical gremlins). Will support the FJRs up there for Saturday lunch with a couple of Italian and German hooligan bikes. Hope to see many of you up there at the parking lot!
