So, my 05's trunk cracked (the bottom part). Does anyone have a replacement for this? I don't want to buy a new trunk...far too expensive, and the top half of mine is perfect. Right now it is bound with duct tape...seems to be working, but I'm just A BIT nervous.

I'm interested in buying a Corbin seat for my bike...the OEM seat is splitting at one of the seams. I'm not that heavy New or used.

So, I've been reading the numerous entries describing hand guard options for the fjr (I have a gen I). The question I have is whether there are ANY options for handguards if I want to keep my throttlemeister -- which I really like on long rides. Thanks

Thanks very much -- you are right -- I should learn some basic MC maintenance skills. But your suggestions are right on! The only additional items I am thinking of are to replace the clutch fluid and fork oil.... I am going to be curious as to whether I will notice any difference in the way...

Hi, I hope that someone could give me some advice -- since while I love my FJR, I have little mechanical aptitude. I purchased an '05 in December with about 13,000 miles on it, and just rode it from New Mexico to NY (roundabout route, 2700 miles in 9 days). The bike now has 17,000 miles on it...
