Yesterday, after returning from an awesome ride to Wawa Ontario, I was stopped at customs. After idling for 10 mins., fan running, I was asked to shut the bike off and show I.D When restarting, bike did not want to turn over, but did so...barely. Both trip meters reset to zero, and clock also...

Competent is the key word here, but even then, it's very difficult to get an exact fit. If you look closely at your glass, it's larger than the plastic frame that it's in.

using a small drift punch, drive the pin back out. Sew the cord back together and loop it in correctly,wind the spring up and drive the pin back in and peen over. Its simple, just ask Dobias, he's the one that fixed mine.

Mine did the same. It can be fixed using all original parts. :)
