Not to be critical... But by the looks of your peg your suspension is really lacking a proper set-up. Of couse mine needed a Wilbers and front Progressive springs to make it perform properly. Well worth the money BTW...
It looks like a few people had a really good time. I wish I could have...
I'll try to make it. I am leaving in the morning on a week long auto trip with the family. So I will need a few beers before the long trip! I will be riding the FJR but there may be cords showing! But Brian is used to that...

I know why they are so cheap... They have a very poor frequency response (Low fidelity).
Human hearing ranges from >20 Htz to 20 KHz. The Etymotic headphones frequency response: 50 Hz to 16 kHz... (no low, lows and no highs)
My Sony earbuds with 0.9mm drivers produce 4 Hz to 30 KHz...
I have the RTB-500 (now CL800). It has a lot of room! If you are looking for a larger bag for longer trips check this one out. I recommend it. It fits behind me on the passenger seat perfectly.

I've gat a pair just like that! Of course only a few have ssen mine actually together. I keep them aprts as to not make either jealous of one another.... :eh-smiley:
And your garage is a mess!

If you don't have the unibit or Varibit (same thing) and have to use a regular twist drill then use a small twist to make a pilot hole. The use the size that you want and run the drill in reverse. It will melt it's way throgh without cracking the plastic. Let it cool a bit and clean the hole...
Not that it caused your problem but... While your at it make sure you lube the rear brake lever pivot. I have seen them seeze up for lack of lubrication. Take the time to pull the brake pedal apart and lube the bushing.

I use grease around the nipple. It works great. You do not need to open the nipple very far to get your lines to bleed. With a small amount of grease around the threads there is no air leak. The grease is too heavy to be pulled through the threads so there is no worry about contamination...
I have used regular gas in the FJR since new with no problems. I won't use premium for manny of the reasons stated. Espescially the fact that the premium is generally not purschased and is old. The FJR runs great with no detonation. When in the higher altitudes I was able to purchase 85...
I agree with RAD. Who is the local suspension expert? It isn't me! I have Tom's Wilbers installed and would finally like to set it up correctly...
OK who is it? And do you think Brian would have a tape measure handy?
John
Mine were off at the first check and by quite a bit. And like others have said, how would you know without checking? The second time at ~6,000 they were off again but only by a bit. The last 2 times I checked they were really pretty close. The last go round I descided to try to alieviate the...
I have the Wilbers installed. The fronts I can fiddle with. But the rear was all the way to soft when I got it. How many turns is max from soft? Is there a stop? I don't feel clicks like the rebound under the shock, should I? How much adjustment is there in the knob for the rear shock?
John
The actual number is not as important as having the highest attainable vacume that is still in the adjustable range between cilynders. I also do not think you want any of the airscrews totally bottomed out. The manual calls for using #3 as the base and adjust to that. But I could not get...
Removing the headlight housing is not as bad as it looks. I could have it out in less than 15 minutes. By doing so you can drill the hole and then shake as much out as possible. Then use a vac adapted with a smaller hose and suck the crap out. You could try it in the bike. Use a smaller vac...
Thanks Highlander....Exactly what I was looking for. Now I just need to get it! I remember that they were set up light from past talk. So I figured it may be in range for my weight. I vary up to 200# depending on time of year too.
I have already installed two rear shocks on other riders...
