I'm interested. I have a buddy who lives in Scottsdale during the winter and Denver during the summer. We are going to take a bike trip this June and I'm thinking about picking up another FJR for the trip ( I've owned an 06') and I regret selling it.
I live in NC but I could have my friend...
I've got my 06' up for sale. The right mirror and right bag have scratches from a parking lot tip over. Several prospective buyers have asked me how much it would cost to repaint or repair them. I have no idea but I figured that someone here has been there done that before.
Pics of damage...
I had the ECU recall done. I think the throttle bodies may need adjusting. A couple of times lately, the bike doesn't want to run right for the first minute of riding. The motor acts like it's fuel starved or not getting enough air. Then it will clear up and run like a scalded dog.
I was pulling out of a parking spot, rolling on the throttle into a lean when the bike stalled. As soon as the motor quit I went down. The mirror took most of the damage. The side bag is scuffed as well but thankfully the sider protected the faring. This isn't the only time the motor has...
I called the above number to inquire about purchasing a YES warranty on my 06 and was told that since the factory warranty had expired, they wouldn't sell me an extended warranty.
I'll try to keep this brief. Last June I bought a bike in San Diego just so I could fly out and ride it home to North Carolina. I sent the dealer some mods I wanted put on the bike before the trip, including risers, GPS mount, throttle tube and a Vista Universal throttle lock. I didn't want...
I've got a cee bailey +4 +2 that I bought from a forum member and I've been quite happy with it, especially since I remounted it and added some foam strips to elimated the "whistle".
I run it about 2/3 the way up and it's nice and quiet plus I can still look over the top of the shield and keep...
I had a slight whistle on my stock screen but the whistle coming from Cee Bailey is much more noticeable in certain positions.
I would only put tape on as a temporary fix as I plan on switching screens from time to time. I like to ride with the stock screen in the summer on shorter rides but...
What I mean is that the stock shield doesn't give me a "quiet zone" like the Cee Bailey does. This is why I bought it in the first place. If I raise the Cee Bailey all the way, I get a little too much buffeting plus I don't like looking just over the lip. If I lower the windshild to get rid...
I've got a cee baily +4 +2 that I love except for the "whistle" around 40-50mph. Any ideas on how to fix it???
EDIT: Thanks to Wel1123 for his suggestion about putting a thin foam strip on the windshield when mounting. I did this and the whistle went away. For good measure I also added a...
