Would you buy a 07 with 63K miles

For me the PCIII and g2 throttle tube fixed the throttle lurch completely, it was not an issue for me with this specific bike.

Would you buy a 07 with 63K miles

I seldom check this forum since I moved on to a Super Tenere. How strange to sign in and find my old FJR. I sold this bike to a guy from Florida last June. I was the original owner. It was serviced regularly. At the time of sell the bike ran great. It had a Penske rear shock and front springs...

SOLD------2007 FJR With lots of good stuff- $5,700

For photos: https://florencesc.craigslist.org/mcy/3823159826.html Selling my 2007 FJR1300A. It currently has 61,000 miles. It may have more miles later as I ride it regularly. I wanted a comfortable bike to ride single or 2-up to the mountains and then enjoy twisty mountain roads. My wife...

Rotella T6 causing clutch drag and hard shifting?

BWV the symptoms you describe are the same I had with dry clutch plates on my 07. I let it go for 12,000 miles before I got it fixed. It took that long for the symptoms to get bad enough for the service tech to admit I had a problem. At first I thought it would get better with time or I would...

    another cruise install question

Oh cool I get to screw up a thread with tiny detail no one cares about. The ball chain and the cable sliding inside of the servo cable attachment both allow for the servo to only pull, they are actually redundent. There was actually an install on the old Concours 1000 site where the installer...

    another cruise install question

Ionbeam is right about the spring. It moves the vacuum cup to the default closed position in the absence of negative pressure within the vacuum chamber (the off/closed) position. The cable slides back and forth inside of the servo cable attachment as the throttle moves in and out of the servo...

    iPhone 5 as GPS?

The only thing I really miss using my iPhone 5 and the Garmin GPS app is the ability to build and load custom custom routes. When reasonable I ride backroads by preference and this ususally requires a custom route.

    iPhone 5 as GPS?

There are a few apps for the iPhone 4, 4s, and 5 that loads all of the maps in memory, over 5 gigs worth of maps. Garmin makes an app, Garmin U.S.A., that I like a lot. I use my iPhone connected via bluetooth for music, podcasts, and GPS. The GPS app is a power hog so it needs to be charged...

FJR Unsuitable for Passenger with Top Box Fitted?

This problem has been reported enough over the years that I was reluctant to use the stock rack with a top box. I avoided the issue by mounting my top box on a Givi rear rack. The Givi rack is kind of ugly but I think it distributes the stress more effectively.
