2006 FJR1300A for sale - Louisville, KY area

Thanks for the compliment. And you are correct, it is a Bill Mayer seat. I just went and pulled it off and checked and there is a Bill Mayer sticker on the underside of the seat. Good eye! I wouldn't know the difference, but should have checked before I posted. Bought the bike just as it is...

2006 FJR1300A for sale - Louisville, KY area

I've purchased a new bike and am selling my FJR. I just had the front fork seals replaced, new brake pads, and front brake caliper rebuilt, along with a fresh oil change. Receipts available on the work upon request. 23,100 miles I purchased the bike with all of the goodies installed: cruise...

    Trailer hitch with 1.25" receiver?

I don't ride on days that I play golf before or after work. I love to ride and love to play golf. Looking for a way to do both. I don't want a trailer. Don't have the space for it and don't want to pull it around. I found this: drive like a pro It needs a 1.25" receiver. I searched and...

Michelin PR 3's out any day now

Had a set installed this morning at local dealer. They discounted quite a bit. Couldn't find a 'net deal for less. Replaced Dunlops that were near flat spot in the middle on the rear tire. Take anything I say with a grain of salt, I just started riding last August for the first time in 20...

    Installing Flash2Pass

Installed my F2P Christmas present today. Man, those headlight connectors are hard to wire into. If the cable was just longer it would be a piece of cake. Works great, and I got the 2nd transmitter so I can wire it up to my truck. Just taps into the two wires for the high beams and done...

Is this issue my sidestand switch?

I think the symptoms point to the side stand switch as well. If you have the bike in gear, even with the clutch pulled in, and put the stand down, it will kill the engine.

    Big Views from small rides

nice post. I love the "big view" of the burger at the end. I was just in Seattle and Portland a few weeks ago and got invited to come out and ride with a customer. He rides a Triumph sport tourer, not sure of the model. I am definitely going to take him up on it, although I will probably...

    First Long ride

I agree with the last post that the technique seems to be more of a push down with the right foot than a pull up. The first couple of times I tried I thought it was impossible. I found that pushing hard with the right leg and keeping the right hand close to my body works best. I am 5' 10" and...

WANTED - Gen II Items (Windscreen / Saddlebag / Mirror)

I might have the factory original screen. I have a cee bailey on the bike, plus the previous owner gave me two others. I'll look and see if there are any markings on the screen.
