I hit a patch of sandy dirt when coming to a stop on my way to work a couple years ago and the rear brake wouldn’t release afterwards. I had to crack the rear line loose to release pressure so I could ride home. I thought it was a collapsed rubber brake line, but the blockage ended up being...
It sounds like you may need to disassemble the front caliper and clean up any accumulation of gunk and corrosion. Make sure you do a brake system flush including actuation of the abs system.
I neglected mine and had to replace the abs module as a result. The rear brake on my 07 locked up...
I finally got the bike put back together with all new suspension from Race Tech. I'm looking forward to SFO next year since I've already burned up all my vacation time this year. If some folks get together up in AR maybe we can get join up for some riding on a Sat or Sun.
I made it back home. Hit some heavy fog north of Dover for about 30 miles and a couple of patches of light rain here and there.
Washed laundry til about midnight, and left for Houston this morning with a load of chicken.

Count me in, as long as I can get the time off. I guess that means I have to clean the spiderwebs off the bike and remember how to ride again. At least it's out of my brother's garage and won't take me three hours of moving shit out of the way just to go for a ride.

Actually, the trucker you were talking to lives down the street from me. He's not remotely Southern, though. (North of the border actually). He told me he talked to some guys on FJR's going through Harrison, but I didn't realize he was telling everybody he could find. :glare:
There, fixed it...
Post splashdown. Glad I had a support crew to help pull me out. Thanks again guys.
I came over a small rise at about 25-30 mph and the road made a small bend to the left at the top. When I tried to correct to the left the front tire just kept sliding to the right. I had bled off some speed...
Nope, just me.
I checked it and found no evidence of water intrusion in the final drive. I was planning to change it when I got home Sunday, but I don't think there was enough left in the bottle to completely fill it. I'll get it changed when I get back in a couple of weeks just to be safe...
I'm ok, the bike has a few character building scratches and two of the plastic bolts holding the windshield on are snapped. More details once I get the laptop fired up.

I'm sure someone 'round here can help ya think of something likely to git ya in trouble. Not me, mind you, I'm gonna be a good boy this year.

So, I guess they won't be kicking us out for having better taste than the limited beer selection at the bar would permit this year. Things are definitely looking up.
David
You and me both.
Seriously though, I cant wait to get home and actually go for a ride. Last 4 times I got in the weather in NWA was miserable, can't wait for some nice weather and a day at home. I havent made it to push mtn in about 4 months and I'm going into withdrawal.
