I had such a nice ride today ...

Hey Fred, Glad to hear you're OK. Beats going to the hospital!!! I've decided to do my part this year and do a little deer hunting. First, I love the vennison and second there seems to be a lack of hunting these days here in Central Ohio so the populations are booming. Everyone is too busy...

SE Ohio October Ride -October 17, 2009

Ahhh....riding with FJR friends in the foothills of Appalachia! Brings back many a memories! And I'm honored to have shown those at Ramble version 1 the stomping grounds of SE Ohio. Once you go, you go back. In a way, this area is more challenging than other areas like KY and WV due to the...

So who's into a S.E. Ohio day trip?

Well don't you know it, the weatherman lied again! I awoke at 5:30 that morning to find 35 degree temps with a very light drizzle-more of a mist really. Not being able to see the sky yet (too dark) and relying on the prior days' forecast of rain with snow mix and temps at high of 42, I guess...

    Coil Issues

Yes, the #2 and 4 cyl coil gave up the ghost on my 03 at about 3K miles! Missing/hesitation was the symptom. I suspected the coil was bad; dealer repalced it under warranty. No problems since. I consider it an anomoly as I don't recall reading others complaints about it. Probably just got...

    2009 Ohio Ramble-Official Tour Thread

Looks like we're going to have to postpone this one. Not a lot of interest compared to years past to justify the needed other actions, mostly scouting for conditions, detours, etc-which takes 2 solid days to complete the planning and ensure the route has safe conditions. Was hoping for 12-20...

    2009 Ohio Ramble-Official Tour Thread

Well so far there are 5 confirmed attendees with 2 riding only one day and 3 staying the hotel. Very small turnout compared to years past?!? Bad economy? Normally we have a dozen or more riders! Are you guys OK with moving this to the fall to encourage more participation? Hate to do all the...

All- I spoke to the hotel today to inquire if we need more space. There is only 1 reservation at Baymont besides myself. Should we reschedule this ride for another time? Not much of a ramble with 2 overnight guests and a few folks coming in for a day...just checkin...it's a lot of work to...

Poll: Ramble Location for June 2009

It's one add'l day off (Mon-Wed instead of Thur-Fri) for out of towners. I guess I didn't feel that would be a problem (perhaps I was wrong). We can have cheap rates or the original dates, but unfortunately not both. I'll tweak my rate schedule for the weekend stay and throw it out there...
