    Ticking repair question

What's up dude? You're pretty angry for a Canadian.... I have an '05 and if it ever starts to tick, I'll just go get it fixed on Yamaha's dime.... what's the big deal? Chill my friend.

Why don't we all just google everything and bypass this site altogether? What's the point of this site other than asking "hey how's the weather" or "how's the wife" to each other? I mean pretty much everything has been discussed at one time or another about the FJR...but, there are new people on...

    FJR vs Cruiser

One would have to argue that it's the rider that would be the unsafe component not the bike. A sportbike has better brakes, handling and manoeuvrability than an average cruiser... so if anything, with the same rider (and being ridden in the same manner) my money is on the sportbike for being the...

    FJR vs Cruiser

Are we referring to sportbikes being dangerous or cruisers? I am a little confused as I thought that one of the criteria he and his buddies didn't like sport bikes was because they're dangerous. I re-read his post and it still sounds like he is reffering to sportbikes as being dangerous?

    FJR vs Cruiser

How are they dangerous? How are they anymore dangerous than any other motorcycle type? Seriously, enlighten me....

    FJR vs Cruiser

The biggest draw back with cruisers is that they are just plain ugly.... I think that they are so ugly that if they were the only bike available, I would rather walk or buy a car instead... Does your sgt look like the army dude in the Village People?.... :P Another good reason NOT to buy a...

Riding away with a cold engine

I understand what you mean... I think this comes from flying air cooled planes like Cessnas... I think the main reason for a full warm up (and run up) is to ensure you have full power available for the take off run. You don't want a cold carburated engine sputtering and coughing down the runway...

    Pulling the front wheel up

If wheel stands were so important, why didn't you just buy an R1 or GSXR 1000?

    Autocom in Magnetic Tank Bag

The Mythbusters debunked that. It has to be an insanely strong magnetic field to scramble a credit card. Magnetic tank bags are safe for all credit cards and consumer grade electronics.

Good price on NGK Iridium plugs(?)

Here in Ontario Canada @ Yamaha dealers... CR9EK for the FZ6 are about $17.00 each. I can just imagine what iridiums would be worth. So, yeah they're a great price. :)

    Where to put my Lid?

How big is your head? Have you tried sitting the helmet in different positions in the side bags? I wear a large and my Scorpion fits in the side bags with room to spare... Richard

Airplane on Conveyor Belt Mythbusters 12/12

Ding, Ding... we have a winner... the prop is grabbing air as it cork screws through the "fluid" (yes air is considered a fluid). If I was riding a skate board on a treadmill and had something like a rope (or propeller with engine instead of rope strapped to my back) to pull myself forward, I...
