Thats why I have been only taking it for short rides and not to venture out too far. A mechanic friend says it may have been a stuck or blocked sensor from sitting for the last four months and cleared itself out I have cleared the codes and so far so good.

I have a 2003 with 285,000 kms on it. The only thing that I have ever done to it was replace the ignition switch and regular type maintenance. I run full synthetic and premium gas. It was running great up until about a month ago then it would not idle. I cranked up the idle and it now idles...

Thanks, my thoughts are that it is the on off relay, and of course the whole front fairing has to come off to get at it, but at least it will give me a chance to clean it the bike up.
