Motorcycle For Sale Ducati Diavel Strada

I am selling my 2014 Ducati Diavel Strada. It's been garaged and covered its whole life. It has some good farkels. Tune Boy tune with cruise control, GPR Power Cone, a rolling stand (copy of a Bursig) New Michelin tires that are now 5 years old. I put a new battery in it 18 months ago. It sat...

    Hello again

I haven't been on here since I sold my 08 FJR back in 13. Anyway now I am needing to sell my 14 Diavel Strada that replaced it. I thought of offering it here because at the time I left, there were a lot of guys looking for a lightweight touring bike which is why it appealed to me. I'll post an...

    California Probable Cause...

I'm not sure about not being able to ask for a last name. It has been my understanding that he has the right to find out who you are. That being said, we are in the land of 'special order 40', which says they don't have the right to ask if you're a legal American Citizen. It is my understanding...

HaHa, good write up. I take it you'll report back as your studies on the migration of the flock continue. I find their behavior entertaining----from a distance

Jacking up bike ? lowering links

I was talking about using the side stand and a floor jack. That's the way I did it. I wish I could find the thread I posted about how I shortened the stands. It's a little detailed, but not that hard to do.

    Stablemate for the FJR

What a beautiful blast from the past. I'm sure it's fairly rare too. I think it was only made 2 yrs. That year's 750 triple was the first new bike I ever test drove. I didn't qualify for the loan. No doubt a good thing as I really needed to stay off bikes back then. I'm sure it will get lots...

Tips for short folks with FJRs

Well, quit wearing kid's braces then :eh-smiley: Seriously though, I used Kouba links for the rear (7/8" lower), and with both the Heli-bar triple clamp and riser blocks it allows the front fork tubes to be raised in the triple clamp to lower the front the same amount. The stock setup...

    FJRF009.2: "Intermittent Ground Wire Connection"

I'm gonna wait a while on this one. My dealer kept putting me off on the ignition switch recall, so I never had it done. I had already installed Brody's relay harness so I'm not concerned about the switch anymore. They were clueless about my clutch sticking when the bike was new, and I found out...

    Does your windshield wobble?

Mine has enough play that it rattles at low speeds over bumps. Not an issue once there's enough of a breeze on it. Not any different from when it was new.

    Dropped It Today

Since this is a revived drop thread, if we can warp back to November of last year, I will not topple over with mine  Luckily no sliding involved. I was trying to back it up, right foot slipped on some gravel, and the short time my right leg was up in the air was enough that it got too...

Ha Ha! After not being on here for a few months, that sure is entertaining to see. That thing needs to be powered by a Detroit 2 stroke :)

FJR, Connie 14, and VFR1200 comparo

Anybody get Motorcycle Consumer News? Anyway they compared the 3 bikes and rated the Kawi 14 first with the FJR as a close second. They thought Honda was a little confused about it's mission for the VFR as it didn't seem to excel at being a sport bike or a tourer. I just wonder why they...

Slippy Sliddy... Properly used FJR Tires

I had a front tire that had that triangular wear pattern and the handling was crap, but I just had to completely wear it out first. Once I put new tires on I had to ask myself why I waited so long to replace them. I have never had a bike before that tire wear seemed to affect the handling as...
