Seven years on and I still have the same 'crushed' crush washers on the bike.... no oil leaks.. no issues

I only purchased the Lucas battery on the recommendation of my local bike shop ..... are Lucas batteries really that bad

This was the first time that I left the charger connected to the battery and not pugged in, never crossed my mind at the time that it would discharge and kill the battery in just over a week I suppose I need to ride more and park the bike less or buy a descent battery conditioner

Update, apparently the trickle charger I have been using may produce excessive parasitic drain if left connected to the battery (Halfords make 1,25 amp charger). Anyway I have taken my bad battery back to the shop from which it was purchased, which they have tested and found it to be faulty...

Put a new battery on the bike just over a year ago (Lucas) no problems what so ever with it. In order to get the same sort of life out of it like the original one (7 years) I put it regularly every couple of weeks on trickle charge for a few hours to boost it back to 100%. Anyway to cut a long...

No problem with my grips on my 08 Gen 11 , they do seem to get hotter the faster I ride though : )

I would save the 2K and go for a low miles 08, plus I do not like the design of the 09.........

6'1" 210LBS Stock set up (seat in lower position) no problems but the most I have ridden at one time is just over 300 miles. Tried the seat on higher setting but I felt no difference in comfort, only more difficult putting my foot down when comming to a stop (31" inseam)

Congratulations, nothing on this planet can compare to the arrival of kids. Just better not let my wife see the picture or it may give her ideas..... :) after our five kids I think it is time to call it a day or I may have to sell the bikes.......... :o

OK my wife doesn't listen to me, my three kids definitely do not listen to me & no doubt you will not listen to me! so go and buy the C14..... ;) By the way I think my FJR is the very best bike I have ever had the privilege to own....... :love: and yes I also own a Kawasaki but a Meanstreak...

I have only owned my 08 for a little over 3 months but I am still very much ‘aroused’ by it's good looks, power and smoooothness……….. ;) After trying BMW's & Honda's I knew instantly the FJR was the bike of my dreams. By the way nice pictures WC.........
