Mike - I think this is an idea worth considering - I upgraded to GP awhile back and just (finally) had Roseville change the fork oil and we made some other adjustments at Zack's suggestion - if you want to go this route (e.g trying my bike) give me a shout but it's a no go for me this weekend.

Nope - on Main St - I agree the folks behind the counter on Court St are knowledgeable and friendly, though this little problem was well-handled by their competitor I just habitually buy filters etc at the store on Main. sounds like we haunt some of the same places

Tom - assuming the two new filters aren't just odd mistakes, that would be why I posted originally, altho hppants earlier in this thread had no trouble with a new one I was thinking of stopping by the store and pulling a new one out of the box to see if it was concave or convex, and if concave...

not to drag this out unnecessarily, but "Mr Observant" here just noticed something this morning - the new filter (on the left in the image) is convex on the top compared to the concave older one on the right
