What's the Best Replacement Front Fork Springs--Gen I?

Mike - I think this is an idea worth considering - I upgraded to GP awhile back and just (finally) had Roseville change the fork oil and we made some other adjustments at Zack's suggestion - if you want to go this route (e.g trying my bike) give me a shout but it's a no go for me this weekend.

    Bosch 3323 oil filter

hppants and Old Guy - thanks for taking the next step to contact Bosch - might be helping someone that doesn't follow this forum...(as hard as that is to believe )

    Bosch 3323 oil filter

Nope - on Main St - I agree the folks behind the counter on Court St are knowledgeable and friendly, though this little problem was well-handled by their competitor I just habitually buy filters etc at the store on Main. sounds like we haunt some of the same places

    Bosch 3323 oil filter

Fred - thanks for catching the typo... you'd think this episode would burn that number in to what's left of my gray matter... I have gained so much info (and laughs) from this forum over the years and contributed pretty much zilch, so glad I could help, if even just a tiny bit by finding some...

    Bosch 3323 oil filter

went to the parts store where my purchase started this discussion: Me: “I have a problem with an oil filter” Clerk (Nick): “sure, what’s up?” Me: “well, see this used 3353, this receipt for 2 new ones I bought here on Dec 13 and these two new 3353s?” Nick: “What’s the problem?” Me: “both...

    Bosch 3323 oil filter

that is exactly my kind of luck... and if so they did it twice and I bought both!

    Bosch 3323 oil filter

thanks - [laughing as I type this} your gray box looks like mine {geez...} but the 3323 in this pic besides being concave also has the "old" label - leading credence to maybe me buying two mis-labelled filters

    Bosch 3323 oil filter

Tom - assuming the two new filters aren't just odd mistakes, that would be why I posted originally, altho hppants earlier in this thread had no trouble with a new one I was thinking of stopping by the store and pulling a new one out of the box to see if it was concave or convex, and if concave...

    Bosch 3323 oil filter

not to drag this out unnecessarily, but "Mr Observant" here just noticed something this morning - the new filter (on the left in the image) is convex on the top compared to the concave older one on the right

    Bosch 3323 oil filter

first - thanks to Ignacio for the clarification of why this went to NEPRT - appreciated. hppants - thanks for the specific feedback - I probably managed to find 2 culls... and to the folks that asked about the gasket from the old filter still being there - nope. still on the filter I removed...

    Bosch 3323 oil filter

First - thanks for the replies admins - this wasn't supposed to be about should one use a Bosch 3323 filter - I have been using them on the FJR for > 100,000 miles w/o a single problem. My attempt here was to maybe point to a change for others that are using this filter, I don't have an...

    Bosch 3323 oil filter

Have probably used 25 of these filters on the FJR w/o issue. I bought two yesterday for an immediate and future oil change and noticed the box had changed. Changed the oil like always and this morning found fresh oil on the garage floor. Cleaned (again) around the drain plug and the filter...

Clearwaters or electrical system – is flashing your Kristas a crime?

Update: Last Friday (12/27) I started to follow Brodie's lead and finally install a BlueSea and re-wire the Kristas to that, but in the middle of it I again asked myself why did the lights work fine the first year, and then at least for awhile every time I disconnected the battery? (the first...

Clearwaters or electrical system – is flashing your Kristas a crime?

whelp - first for Tanker - the little re-charge back to a standing voltage of ~13.1 made no difference. Brodie - thanks! I am 99.9% sure I need some follow-up guidance. I have a fuse box sitting around for install but never got around to it, so will have to use this as motivation to get that...

Clearwaters or electrical system – is flashing your Kristas a crime?

Seems the folks that question the fix are right. No troubles from early Nov to early Dec, early last week I saw one flash w/ turn signal activation. Became more common through this week until last night it was flashing w/ brake activation as well. Remember all my riding now is restricted to...

Clearwaters or electrical system – is flashing your Kristas a crime?

well. commute night 2 w/ no flashing. At least as far as my install goes, no horn wire connection from the get-go and otherwise straight to the + and - of the battery with the Clearwater wires per the installation instructions - I don't even think I know enough to deviate from that, but also...

Clearwaters or electrical system – is flashing your Kristas a crime?

eggs-actly where i am too - ordered a Yuasa last night, hopefully here by next weekend Just got back in from re-running all the measurements I made yesterday - all still the same give or take a .01 or .02 or so. And the electricity demons decided not to cause a single flash. what (else) is...

Clearwaters or electrical system – is flashing your Kristas a crime?

Thanks some more! Stator is stock as far as I know - bought the bike w/ 9k mi on it and other than this recurring Krista problem, no other issues in the nearly 100k mi I have put on it It's a bit curious that Tanker experienced the same problems with a 2003 and Kristas, and also had...
