Deer killed my '05, replaced with 2014 ES, I'm impressed !

So there I am, minding my own business on November 30th, riding the '05 for a good battery charge & getting ready to put some StaBil in the tank for the slow season. Out of nowhere this dumbass deer jumps right in front of me, no time to react, just BANG. I went down, baby went down, deer...

FJR Value at Retail, great condition, not savaged, etc etc

    Figured I'd post up for those folks that don't subscribe. They cover all makes & models, if you have a question about a non-FJR bike ask & I'll post up their retail guesstimate. 2007 - 14510 2006 - 11480 2005 - 9410 2004 - 7830 2003 - 7165 According to MCN, this is a 'national average'...

Do you have a V Stream Windshield & are over 6 foot 3 inches ?

So far I've had the stock screen, the AHAMAY tall screen, and a Rifle +5+3 on my '05. The stock screen sucked, the tall is a tiny bit better but still the screen I use in the summertime. The Rifle screen, which seems pretty darn big, blocks alot of air but still has some issues with noise...

How I Spent My Summer Vacation... (WFO5 & Beyond)

I made the WFO reservation back in October because I knew I was going to come out. Finally convinced my BMW riding bud Gary to go with me in June. This is Monday, O'Dark Thirty, before WFO5. Here we are leaving Wendover UT/NV, WFO5 in 5 hours! Here is the frontal shot of the pavillion...

Let's Send a Note To The Magazines About WFO !

Just read this month's MCN. When I got to their calendar section, they were showing events out to July. I checked & didn't see the WFO listed. Should someone send those magazine folks a note to let them know about the WFO ? We might find a few more Feejer jockeys that don't do anything on the...

    Unrepresented States/Territories

Here's the list of state and territories that are, as yet, totally unrepresented for the WFO, as shown in the WFO map that Iggy & friends put together. WFO Map -Clicky Here Did Yamaha sell no FJR's in these states or what ? Hey Stef if you show up I'll buy you a six pack & give you ten bucks...

How Many FJR Russells were bought ?

I am in Delaware, so I haven't been riding for the last 3-4 weeks because of the 30 degree weather. Naturally, while the seat is being created at Russell (build date 12/21), we get a nice 60 degree day that I was just aching to take advantage of but had no seat. I actually thought about going...

    Love the Built-In Ankle Heater

After a sudden drop down to the 50's I decided to see how the Feejer felt in those temps. Boy, I was pleasantly surprised... The 'Heat Issue' has turned into a positive discussion! After 2 hours on the bike it felt quite good to have warm feet & warm legs even though I specifically didn't...

Thinking About Trying A Track Day

Since I've gotten the Feejer on May 7 we've gone 10600 miles, mostly on slab. Now I'm getting to the point where I think I'd like to do some runs on a race track, with lots of coaching, in an uncrowded environment, on someone else's bike. I'm smart enough to know what I don't know, which is a...

My 3 Favorite IBR Leg 2 Pictures

Just went through the Maine IBR leg 2 pictures posted on SmugMug, courtesy of Lyskowski, and wanted to share my three favorites. This fellow has the right time saving attitude ! This fellow obviously went to New Brunswick... This was what I was thinking as I was leaving Sturgis, with...

I Wanted That License Plate Holder...

:D After seeing the IBA license plate holder, I realized I just had to have one. Decided to go visit Ma & Pa in Colorado after the BMW get together in Lima Ohio, so what better time to drive & drive & drive & drive ... Started in Greenfield Indiana at 7:22 AM EDT, finished in Northglenn...

    Beemerville Get Together-big Photos

Was at the BMW rally in Lima Ohio on July 21,22,23. Took some pictures of classic BMW bikes & thought I'd share with you all. The files are pretty big because I wanted you to be able to get useful detail on the photos (also you can re-size at will). It was pretty interesting being in the middle...

Anyone Else Going To Bmw Rally ?

:trinibob: My best friend & good riding bud (2003 RT-1150) suggested I go to the BMW rally with him this year, as he had alot of fun at the previous rallys. Work scheduling won't permit me to leave at the same time to go out with him (He's Southeast PA, I'm Northern Delaware), but I'll be...

Looking For Tank Kneepads, Anyone ?

I'm thinking I'd like to find some knee pads for the tank so my knees have something to grip onto instead of shiny waxed blue paint on my '05. I saw some rubber like pads on the ST-1300 Honda when I was bike shopping and was wondering if any on the forum have seen something like this as a...

I'm (sniff, Sniff, Quavering Voice) Banned !

:beee: Last night I posted a collection of Mark Neuuuuman's own words as quoted text to the 'why does ezboard delete every mention of the new fjr forum'. There was no additional commentary of my own in the post. Evidently Mark didn't like seeing that post (or my signature line), so I'm BANNED...
