    Rehashing early clutch engagement

My '08 has 60,200 miles. I bought the bike used in 2015. It had 49,800 on it then. Basically, since I have owned it, I've had clutch issues: early engagement. In 10/17, at 57,00 miles I took it a Yamaha dealer. The invoice says that they put in a new "Clutch Plate Kit". It was better for a...

    Smokers (BBQ - not grilling)

Admittedly, Oregon is the perennial bridesmaid. Hopefully the Phil Mickelson kind. Not the David Duval kind.

    Smokers (BBQ - not grilling)

While waiting for my Ducks to play on TV, I setup my outdoor living room, put on some Costco pork belly followed by some hamburgers. I used maple wood. The pork will be made into maple / pepper bacon. The burger will be turned into hamburgers. https://i.imgur.com/K9PLRdA.png

    Saying goodby

What he said. I have opportunities to ride my wife's BMW from time to time. Sure handles better than my FJR but the economics of a BMW are too much. Especially if you have a his & hers like we did.

Well, I installed the lights as in my first post. The fairing bangs into them under hard braking. Guess I'll avoid hard braking. Or, build a bracket that lowers the lights.

    Other Smokers.....cigars

My "every day" cigar is My Father flor de las antillas. I favor single malt (Lagavulin) and bourbon (Pendleton 1910).

What did you do to your FJR today?

This weekend I / we installed a pair of LED lights on my bike. During the time that I didn't need help, my wife was busy installing a Fenda Extenda on her K1200S. It took most of the weekend. We did it sober. Details / photos later. Maybe.

Dang. You're right. It's the fairing I'm worried about clearing.

    Driving light mounted low

Sorry, I should have clarified. I don't know how much travel there is on the front end and I'm hoping one of you do. Will the fender travel cause a collision with the lights? Who is this Glenn you speak of? I've searched the site high & low & can't find any info on brackets like the ones on...

    Driving light mounted low

I trial-mounted a light to the front fender in this position. Will the distance between the light & fender be enough?
