I'm aware of the laws here in colorado and I haven't had issues in the past with lights, even with getting pulled over. I put them on a switch so if I need to I can shut them off. The running lights still come on all the time which kind of reduces the blueness of the rings as well.

I did some looking and can't seam to find the kit for the Audiovox clone. Where can I find this, I looked on Murph's Kits and they only had the bracket and springs for the fjr?

I would agree that it could be one of these 2 things. I had the same issue with my 84 Venture and tightening the head bearings worked.
