I'm not the original owner and I vaguely remember there was a recall on 08's (2nd gen) and the original owner said the recall was done.  I assume this is the recall that is being referenced.

Haven't taken the FJR camping yet but was wondering how/if others do that with their's?  My concern is some of the places I like to go have hard pack dirt roads and I'm a little leery of doing that with the FJR....crash cages would be a must...

Hey G, No other issues.  Just replaced the headlights and front plastics. I found a few used ones on eBay for around $150-200.

I have an 08 FJR and the neutral light has been staying on after everything is shut off and the key is out (most likely due to an accident I had ).  The Yamaha dealership said the ECU unit is burned out and that is the issue.  He recommended taking the backup fuse out which will fix the issue...

Sorry, it was the left-front side of the bike that got smashed so probably didn't mess up the relay (if its on the battery side). I'll try cleaning the fuse prongs. 👍

Yep.  Started it up multiple times and unplugged and replugged lights and had no luck with headlights coming on.

That's my next move.  Just thought I'd ask first to see if I am missing something other than that...

I am in the process of replacing my whole front end on my 08 (hit a deer).  The right headlight housing was smashed up, so I found a used 08 headlight housing to replace it.  pulled the old headlight housing off yesterday and then plugged the used one in and the lights do not work.  Am I missing...
