Note: You have to call her to make a reservation, the website shows all rooms occupied but she does have rooms/cabins available. She has the whole place blocked for us that weekend.

Booked ours as well!

"Coronado Trail
The Devil's Highway

A biker's dream!

The 123 miles of pavement between Springerville and Clifton feature 460 curves skirting the eastern edge of the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests is called the Devil's Highway.

The road is narrow and winding, dipping from one curve to the next, perfect for motorcycles and high-performance sports cars. All you need are time and a desire to experience a stunning swath of Arizona.

The segment of U.S. 191 known as the Coronado Trail National Scenic Byway cuts through verdant forests and alpine meadows before dropping off the high ramparts of the Mogollon Rim to cactus-dotted deserts below. Francisco Vasquez de Coronado followed a similar route as he searched for the fabled Seven Cities of Cibola more than 450 years ago. The road roughly parallels the New Mexico state line and is thought to Cononado Trail Scenic Bywaybe the curviest and least-traveled federal highway in the country.

Coronado Trail Scenic Byway

Length: 123.0 mi / 197.9 km
Time: Four to five hours of driving time, including over 400 switchbacks
Fees: The road is free, but some campgrounds charge fees.

You will see high desert and forest, and Native American footpaths also used by Conquistadors and prospectors as horse paths, then later as wagon trails by pioneers. This scenic land has been inhabited by nomadic tribes of hunters, gatherers, trappers, outlaws, homesteaders, lumberjacks, and ranchers."

June 5-7, AZ Roadrunner Rally, AZ Beemers MOA #89 and BMWRA #19

It?s known by many names. US-191, Former US-666, The Coronado Trail, The Devil's Highway. We just call it the greatest motorcycle road in America. And this year, the Roadrunner Rally is based at Hannagan Meadow Lodge in the middle of the best motorcycling you'll ever ride.

So, join your friends in eastern Arizona for some good times and great riding. We'll be doing the highway and also some of the scenic dirt backroads in the high forest.

And here's the best part? It's FREE. This year, the Roadrunner Rally is an un-rally. No rally fees what so ever. Need a place to stay, contact Hannagan Meadow Lodge directly. The lodge has a restaurant and bar to keep you well fed. Want to camp, then contact the Lodge about camping on the Lodge grounds. Lots of forest service camping in the area also. The town of Alpine, AZ is just up the road with several hotels and resturants to choose from.

What else is un-rally? Nope, no vendors. Sorry, no band. No wristbands. No door prizes either.

We are just going to do some great rides on some awesome roads and have a lot of fun in between.

This edition of the Roadrunner Rally will take place from Friday June 5th thru Sunday June 7th.
