Cold weather low-grip = low side this morning

I stop riding when it gets so cold my antifreeze freezes. Which has never happened. To be fair, it is rare to see the teens here. But unless there's precip or wet/icy roads, still I ride. All over hell and back. There's always some increased risk of frost or black ice, but I've never had any tire traction problem at any temp on a dry road. But let there be the slightest drip, puddle, or even dirt or sand, and the cold isn't going to make it any better.

I stop at 40 too. Not for fear of what might happen with the bike, but because prolonged periods below about 42, my left foot precipitates gout, and it can last for weeks after the event.

Ive been looking for a pair of electric socks as a possible solution. I havent owned any in years, and the price seems to have skyrocketed.
