A sad update, not quite a year later than when I posted this thread, my Uncle Bobby passed away today, at the age of 98.

Blind, almost deaf and confined to a wheelchair,his body simply started to shut down. Stubborn to the end, after 10 days without a meal and life support, he finally gave in.

The last of my mothers side of the clan, the only male in a family of six sisters, who all passed on first, the last a decade ago. He will be buried next to his wife, and one of the sisters this week.
