OK, I probably shouldn't post this and especially on a Friday. But the ride in today was spectacular and I thought I'd try something I've never done before. Sort of a ride report for my morning.

Which jacket liner? No Gerbing today.

Fill it up. Reset the 250.

Windshield up. The commute is on.

Gray and cloudy morning start.

Passing cows in the valley mist.

Behind a plumber’s pickup at the light.

School busses to fill with kids.

Busses are yellow. Light is green.

Everybody vying for position.

Onto the highway.

In the HOV at 70. Normal flow with everybody else.

Pickup with a ladder rack fills one mirror.

Let him blow by. Single driver. On cell.

Everybody else with coffee. Zombies.

Not me. Sun coming up. Feeling good.

Clara Barton Parkway into DC. Trees hang over me.

Stand of road-side bamboo is lush green.

Flicking white tail bouncing ahead along the roadside.

Bambi launches toward the C&O Canal at a stone lock.

From today into the past. Cool sight.

Fast slalom turns onto the Whitehurst Freeway and again off.

Rowing skiffs on the Potomac. Passing famous names.

Georgetown. Watergate. Kennedy Center.

Pass golden lions on a bridge. A loud airliner climbs by.

Round behind the Lincoln Monument and into the sunrise.

First sight of the cherry blossoms in full bloom. Pink.

Independence Ave. Two Presidential helicopters growl past.

Banked my way. Low turn at speed. Just over the trees.

Sights of Memorials. Korea, Roosevelt, World War Two.

Then Jefferson. Backed by streaks of dawn sky colors.

City now. White House and Washington Monument.

Marmots come up from Metro and blink at morning's light.

Dark old Smithsonian castle with vibrant garden colors.

Park. Walk. A proud Capitol dome in silhouette.

Statue of Freedom watches from the top. Another great ride.

Nice report Checks.

My ride out the Dulles Toll Road to Reston doesn't quite measure up

You suck.

I enjoyed the view of motorcycles going down the HOV while I was stuck in 95 S traffic in the work van. Oxon Hill MD to Stafford Co.

Nice day, and I'm inside next to a hot boiler trying to tune it with no load because it's so nice and warm outside.
