Do I need to unplug the battery to reset ECU?

I have an 06 AE and am wondering if I need to unplug the power to reset ECU. I'm plugged in to the air intake inlet sensor. My Nitro X is sending signals but I am wondering if shutting off the bike is enough or if I need to unplug the battery.
