Jim camped in South Pass City [kind of stretch calling it City], WY last night.

Then he was off to South Pass Rd, Continental Divide Trail, Buffalo Basin Rd, Three Forks Rd, River View Cutoff Rd, Seminoe Cutoff, with a little more Continental Divide Trail in there in a couple of spots.

He is now on Wamsutter-Crooks Gap Rd.

Looks like it will be a dry camp out in the middle of nowhere tonight for Jim.

Temp's are in the high 70's with lots of sun.

Jim put the pedal to the metal today. He's almost to Rawlins, Wy. The crazy man said that he kicked the Great Basin's ass today.

120+ Miles

go Jim go ...

Jim was on the move early this morning. He is about to cross into Colorado east of Baggs, WY on a trail with no name. It's 52 and sunny there now.

I'm a little worried about Jim riding through New Mexico, seems like most of the state is on fire.

I can't imagine doing that ride. Or having the time to do it.

Pops, how about you n' me plan a ride?

...

to the local pie store?

Here is a little bit of travel info from Jim's wife:

"Jims Great Divide Ride Continues! Jim and his new friend Michael rode 120 miles on Thursday through the Great Basin! They saw wild horses! Also a friend of Jim's from Wisconsin, Dave Spangler, cruised out on his BMW and hooked up with them that night! They did what they call a short ride on Friday(60miles,short..really?) to Aspen Acres! Dave did some cruising on the motorcycle then checked "The Spot" and hooked up with them again that night! They arrived in Steamboat Colorado on Saturday......holly hell finally done with Wyoming! Jim took his bike in to Orange Peel for some maintenance and a new chain. They were lucky enough to stay with a friend of Dave's in a beautiful home! Took a day off on Sunday...did a relaxing float on the river! Sunday was Michaels last day, I guess work called and wants him back...imagine that! Rode by himself on Monday and today, but his friend Dave is still hooking up with him at night. He is now in Breckenridge, which I hear is a really fun town! I'm sure they will find a cool bar with some cold beer!"

Wild horses.

Jimmy is shrinking before our very eyes. I have to get on that diet.

This picture is from yesterday. 11,482 Feet, that would mess with my lungs on a motorcycle, can't imagine what it would do on a bike.

He's staying in a RV park in beautiful downtown Del Norte, CO. The owner of the park took Jim to the store to get some food and maybe a couple of beers.

Jim is going to be in New Mexico Saturday or at least try to be. He starting to worry about his time frame and thinking he might have to do some highways to finish. He's not liking that.

Jim's been riding hard and starting at first light to beat the heat. He's running out of time now so he's doing some highway miles.

He's going through Corona, New Mexico as I type. 82 and sunny there.
