Hey Don, here is the official NAFO4 Weather Report.....

I forgot to add the screen shot of the route I took for the Rallye Rally....

Griff took the win with over 30,000 points while I scored a shade over 19,000. Bob (Intech) lost 500 points for making the same mistake as he did last year and forgot to mark down his mileage on his answer sheet again. I guess it is true that you can't teach an old dog a new trick.
FYB! It's a decal on my saddlebag, heaven knows what it means. LOL!

Tom (Huron52) hardly ever goes anywhere but his evil twin was checking out his new ride at 2Brothers which hosted an open house for us....

Being Canadians we made sure we were the first one to the complimentary donuts before any of the Yankee Hordes arrived. I almost had this chocolate danish demolished before anyone else arrived.....

When Marty (OFace) showed up with his shorts he started stuffing his face. I'll let you add your own caption to this....

The skies looked threatening so I spent some money on a new rain suit to guarantee that it would not rain and Tom & I took off on the Rustic & Alphabet Roads ride. We managed to come across a few interesting sights along the way....

We then rode up the Big Olde Hill....

I was very surprised to find a 90 meter ski jump in the middle of dairy country....

That bastard Bungie, being bummed out that he could not make it to NAFO, obviously had made a doll of my Zumo and was sticking pins in it back in Sudbury because my Zumo was doing all sorts of very wierd Bungie type things all day long that led to a number of U turns.

When we finally made it to Highway 61 Tom had lost all confidence in my Zumo to lead us back to LaCrosse and made a command decision that we would head straight back up Highway 61 to NAFO headquarters. I had also lost faith in Mr Zumo by that point so we beelined it back to the Days Inn.

We made it back in plenty in time for some cocktails and a soak in the hot tub before the closing banquet.

Lots of swag was up for draw and no one went away empty handed. Many thanks to Rick, Marty and the rest of the NAFO / CFO crew for an excellent rally. If you were not here you missed a great one.

I just finished out of the money in the Rallye Rally because Rick did not consider this a rustic road...

That was the first of three water crossings on this particular road. The so called rustic roads were like the interstate compared to this.

That isn't Rustic Road #51 just south of Maiden Rock is it? I've still got some of that dirt on my FJR from about 3 years ago when I rode 10 of them to get the Rustic Road patch.

I don't think so. This road was so rustic it never had a number because the number system had not been invented when this road got built.

As I was approaching Milwalkee I got an automated message from Lake Express that due to rough conditions on the lake the ferry crossing was cancelled. The two options were to stay in Milwalkee and try and reschedule or head for Chicago and go around the bottom of the lake.

I was running early enough that I would roll through Chicago about noon and being Sunday the traffic would not be horrible. It actually ended up working well with no delays and I rolled into Bust's garage just before 6 PM

We celebrated our good fortune with what was left of the Forty Creek. I then went fishing in the fish pond for the parts I had ordered for my dirt bike and had shipped to Bust's.

Bust has been known to test part shipments by giving them the soak test in the pond.

I had a closer look at my track to try and figure that one out and the road shows up as 20th Ave off of CR - AA south of Maiden Rock. I Googled Rustic Road #51 and it is indeed the same road.

So you've got the patch, now you can get the sticker!

I once paid for gas in Gooberville, Georgia with Canadian Tire money. Told them it was better than that funny coloured Canadian money.

Sadly there is a lot of talk that Canadian Tire money will soon be a thing of the past.

Ya even the Falcon Hotel in Garson closed down. That was the last bar in Sudbury that would take CTC Money for beer.
