Current Special on the LD35's:

$10 Dimmer with the purchase of a pair! With the FJR15 discount that's less than $180 for an amazing pair of lights, and a dimmer
punk.gif
.
Curiosity question... I noticed that the Cyclops can be ordered with the Skene dimmer. Do these come with the same ability?

Which would be better if one was going to mount just one set of lights. The LR35's or the Cyclops in a combo setup?

If I were restricted to one set of aux. lights, I would have stuck with the LR5s.

They are a 5000 lumen light with a hybrid flood/spot beam. One of them was good enough for 30 miles of dirt road with complete confidence. I added the LD35s merely to fill in a perceived "hole" in the long range lighting. You need a Skene dimmer with those lights simply because the power rating is higher than the one Justin supplies.

If you want the Skene dimmer with the LD35's, you need to order directly from Skene. I'd personally choose the LD35's for the FJR, since the power difference is not an issue. The LD35's have incrediable range in wider pattern, with more secondary spill, and just more overall light. And, the color spectrum and tint of the MT-G2 chip is spectacular, providing great definition and vision.

OK, so to confirm, they come as a pair for that price displayed and not 1 each correct? I know the Cyclops were priced each if I remember correctly.

I'll probably be ordering a set by this upcoming weekend (have to order a Zumo first).

^ Correct. They are $100 each before the FJR15 discount code, so $85 each.

Edit: The special deal link I had posted on the last page is for 2 units AND a basic dimmer.

I suspect that was what you were referring to.

LR5 High Output 5000 Lumen Light:

https://ledrider.com/shop/?model_number=LR5P

Our LR5 has been incredibly popular with bikes with big alternators

. The LR5 Hybrid Flood light uses 5 Cree XM-L LEDs to put out over 5000 Lumens, in a package that is only 4.3 inches. The LR5 series are built to take a beating, using polycarbonate lenses, polyester UV resistant powercoat, rugged metal wire inputs and sealed Deutsch connectors. The advanced optics turn night into day at the flip of a switch.

Short Web Review: https://www.doctorschierling.com/blog/review-of-madstad-windshield-and-led-rider-lights-on-a-gl1800

Price: LR5 is $230/pair before FJR15 coupon code. That's under $200 for 10,000 Lumens of light for FJR Forum Members!

The two pictures below show two LR5's compared to two H4 Silverstar highbeams. These were taken with a DSLR with the same manual settings. The farthest trees out on the tree line are roughly 500 feet. These lights literally turn night into day and rip through the trees! Unfortunately the trees were in the way so the full potential can't be seen.

LR5's mounted on a Goldwing - From the owner, "I was able to test my new LR5's on my last BBG run and wow, they are great. The really turned the night into day. They are a great addition to my HID low beams. Of course they can only be used when there is no oncoming traffic. :)".

Any questions, please post or PM. Special coupon code for FJR Forum members is "FJR15" - you can order using the store URLs above.

One of my less than a year old LR4s has 2 of the 4 LEDs not working

. Any way to get a replacement?

FYI for anyone considering adding some lighting -- Justin posted some short-term discounts on LX3's, LX5's, and LX40's to Facebook. Search "LEDRider" on Facebook. The discounts are better than the normal FJR code, but only last until this Friday... I'm specifically not copy-and-pasting the full details since I think that might go against the rules in the Sticky.

Is there still an active discount for forum members for this site? I'm looking to get a set of the LD5's
