Open, clear, and smooth ! The first Sierra pass to open.

This may help some of the YFO attendees coming along the backside on the Sierras from the south or across central Nevada.

It cuts the corner of 395 to hwy 88 so you do not have to go as far north as Minden. Great lunch stop in Marklee

ville on the way.

Dan/Glas1/2ful and I will be riding over that pass about 10:00 a.m. tomorrow so I'm glad to see the road's dry (we'll be on FJRs, too.) Yesterday's forecast there was for snow. 395 is the indirect route from Sacramento to San Diego, you see.
