Mounting hole covers universal across generations?

I have a 2004 Cerulean Silver (Gen 1)
Mounting hole cover part numbers:
36 5JW-2163E-00-P4 COVER, REAR FENDER 2 (for the front top hole)

37 5JW-2163E-10-P4 COVER, REAR FENDER 2 (for the rear top hole)

38 5JW-2163F-00-P4 COVER, REAR FENDER 3 (for the hole underneath)

These are unavailable for Gen1, my question is will Gen2 covers work? I am thinking about ordering Raven black off partzilla. I plan on running without bags the majority of the time and just using the top box.

Gen 2 part numbers:
3P6-2163E-01-P3
3P6-2163E-11-P3
3P6-2163F-01-P3


The first part 5JW vs 3P6 is the generation code, next section is the same 2163 E and F then the last 2 sections are different, maybe color code?
Im about 95% certain these will work but wanted to post up on here. Thanks!

No, they will not. The Gen 2 are larger in size. I bought some Gen 1's from a person that had some sitting around, put them on my Gen 2 and they fell into the holes.
