With all the talk of the newest and greatest, I thought I would share some pictures and info of my 05 FJR with now 205000 miles. As most of you know, I bought the bike from Patricia, Tim's wife AKA "Twowheelnut" whom both have sadly passed.
I bought the bike with 68k miles and It's been a great bike. It has never left me stranded. It still has the original clutch, starter alternator and engine. It still runs strong - burns about 1/2 quart every 5000 miles. I use Rotella synthetic oil and change it every 6000 miles - recently decided to change it every 5000 miles.
With that said, The bike has been showing it's age and it began to remind me of Skooter's Dirty ol whore - Well maybe not that bad but it was starting to get a little ruff so i decided to give it a make over.
I started with the plastics:
Over tightening of the bolt caused this.

Tank getting scratched from use and my Aerostich rubbing against it.
This is a Rick Mayer seat and you can't tell from the pictures but the stitching is starting to come apart.
The hook on the left bag started to wear down and came dislodged while i was riding. Could of lost the bag!
I service the bike at Lebard Underwood in La Habra ca. and the were nice enough to give me this bag that they had laying around.
After 125k the buttons were getting loose so i replaced them.
Brand new Ebc rotors
