My bearings are tight. Sure wish I could get rid of that clunk.
Springs might be binding, the races are grooved, loose brake pad or caliper, or possibly other things. Or bearings are torqued correctly.

Yep, my 08' offers some similar clunks at hard braking; almost like their is something not tight up top. Can't simulate unless moving though with full bike weight.

I know the brake pads are snug, the calipers are tight, the rotors are firm and when

I do the lift the front and pull test, there is no movement. The Forks were just redone as well. Everything was cleaned and installed to spec.

 
I think it could be the fork spring hitting the side of the fork tube as it is compressed?

 
Yeah, I dont think its the Steering head bearings anymore. Seems like shocks have quite a lot of stiction and that causes the clunk. Very annoying.
