Well here it sunday, and i do not have to work. The other half asked what I was going to do today? One looke at me and she knew i was gone on my bike for a couple of hours. I do have some stuff that has to get done at home. Saaround 6:30this morning I gear up and gas up and head out over to Middletown back through CacheCreek by the casino than home to Woodland.

I left woodland around 6:50am and headed down rd. 24 on my way I encounter a tomatoe truck pulling up to a stop signI saw him comming he was on my right headind south. I slowed down just for safety reasons ( after all 600pound bike vs. a 80,000pound truck ) he did not want to come to a full stop and kind of pulled out in the intersection so I stoped than he finally came to a full stop. It could have gotten ugly if he heard what I said to him with my helmet face shield down His window was rolled up. I guess he thought those two or three seconds would allow him to get in an extra load today. So I rolled the throttle onand wavd good by. Tan it was smooth sailing around up to the lake berryessa. Iam behind a pick up pulling a boat, he is running pretty good and besides I know where he is going to pull off so he can launch fhis boat which is about 1/2 mile. Well low and be hold another rider came up on me and passed me than around the boat in an area where all he had to do was wait about 30 seconds and could have passed safely with out taking any chcnces. That rider was on a buell an older one. I just let him go I knew he was going to stop at moskiwitz corners for some refreshments as I have seen and spoken to him before. I was in no hurry. So I headed toward rutherford nice twistes and sceinic road. After about 4 to 5 miles I scanning the road ahead for cars on the turn what do think i see? Could not believe it my self ,not one or two but ten to twelve wild turkeys in the middle of the road I was rolling on the throttle around that turn until I saw them in the road and said OH no I going to have turkey dinner early thjis year. But when I saw how many I grab a hand full of brakes and foot (thanks for a.b.s brakes i was able to avoid a possible collision with them and maybe going down. Everything turned out alright and slowed down to reflect on that there moment . Now I check my watch and need to get going to eat breakfast in Middletown town, made it there had a good meal than started my trip back home on hwy. 20. As I was leaving Middle town I passed another fjr silver o3 he was going the oppsite of me waved and kept going . Turned on to hwy 20 from 53 and up that first hill just rolled the throttle on crusing around 80 saw a van going slow backed off who is comming in the opposite direction a good ole chp I was already slowed to 60 followed the slow cars till passing lane than took off able to run the turns on this road around 80 and up if no one is in front or coming from the other direction was able to just rail around those smooth turns. Oh what what a felling it is on your fjr awesome. that is why I own one, it is what riding is all about control, feel and freedom what a thrill. the rest of the short trip went smooth. The other concern you have now is the people leaving the casino at cache creek, they have been drinking, lost money, and want to get home, so now beware of any signs from other cagers comming and going for a possible wreck to happen. Fortunately, nothing happened and made it home safe getting rested up now to go work out side in the yard. I did encounter a pick-up towing a camping trailer with kayacks tied down i keep my distance he pulled over and artound i went and ai thanked himfor that. all in all a great ride no problems and happyt as hell weekend rider :cownoy:

I am at Moskowite corner almost every Sunday morning, usually arriving at 08:30 - 9:00. Why don't you stop by and say "Hi" sometime. I'll be on an '03 with Leo Vince carbon slip-ons.

Hi it seem I left out some important information about where i went and where I am located. I am from the central valley of california, woodland ca. This area where I ride when i take off for 3 to 4 hours is in and around the wine country (Napa ca. and the ocean by bodega bay ca,) it is some great riding you have flat land around a lake through rolling hills, mountains, the ocean and some slab and city driving if you want. All this with in 20 minutes of my house and even an indian casino if you want to gamble, it is a very nice casino in Capay valley rolling hills farm land rafting down cache creek.

Most of the time I stop at moskowitz corner but today i felt the need to keep the wheels turning as I have been working 6 days aweek and after hours for 3 hrs a day. I will look for you when i head up that way good luck to all weekend rider
